The Fourth series of BlackAdder is by far my favourite. It follows Captain E. BlackAdder's attempts to get out of going "over the top" in the First World War. He shares a trench with George, and enthusiastic young lad, and Private Baldrick, as smelly as ever. He has regular visits from General Anthony Cecil Hogmanay Melchett, and Captain Kevin Darling.
In the first episode, Captain Cook, the lads try and get out of the trenches by offering their services as chefs (disguised) to Melchett and Darling's HQ. This series is not for the faint hearted, when you discover some of Baldrick's Recipes. I will always grimace if someone offers me a coffee! (see the Quotes)
